Awards

Moulton Builders Inc is pleased to announce Turbo Lofts is the recipient of the following prestigious awards.

The Commonwealth Award

10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania is a "statewide voice for great places to live and work." They awarded Turbo Lofts a Commonwealth Award. The 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania web site explains that, "While loft developments have been popular for years in many cities, this project breaks new ground by bringing the loft model to the suburbs. What was once an old hosiery factory has now been tastefully transformed into a mix of residential units and retail and office space. The project has a residential density of nine units per acre, while the Lansdale borough as a whole has a density of 3.5. It qualifies for the green building gold standard from the National Association of Home Builders through the use efficiency features such as geothermal heat. By preserving the industrial look of the building in the new design, the project serves as a reminder of the history of the borough of Lansdale."

The Edwin G. Holl Award

The Lansdale Historical Society honored Turbo Lofts with the Edwin G. Holl Award, recognizing the restoration and repurposing of a significant Lansdale landmark. The organization's president called Turbo Lofts one "of the most important ‘historic saves’ in Lansdale in recent years."

The Montgomery Awards

Turbo Lofts were recognized by The Montgomery County Planning Commission with their Revitalization Award. The award honors "the community leaders, organizations, and agencies for the revitalization achievements that improve, and often transform, our communities."

The Pinnacle Awards

The Pinnacles are presented by the Bucks/Montgomery County Homebuilders Association in recognition of excellence and outstanding achievements in the home building industry. Turbo Lofts was named the Greenbuilding Multifamily Community of the Year.
